Microbyte Architectures is a computer firm working on designing new hardware to replace the Abacus notebook computer. The unit they’re currently working on is planned to be about the size of a wristwatch or pocket watch. When activated it should project a holographic screen with a GUI interface that doesn’t require VR peripherals. The hardware is still a good 2-4 years from actual production; right now, the team is busy procuring production funds.
