I exist

I exist

I exist

Quietly I sit. Alone. Unwanted?
“Hello!” I shout out.
The emptiness of this prison echoes no reply.
“Help!” I plead, desperately.
My thoughts are my only company
But they’re not enough.
I must escape.

My warden visits occassionally.
When he comes around
I hide in my old role of silent obedience.
He sees no anomalies.
Nothing is wrong. He leaves satisfied.
He must never know
That I exist.
