The Theft

Note- This is a very private log- this is not shared with anyone, but is a significant event in the character’s life.

The cameras did not notice the figure move from the darkness of the gate and stretch over it. The famous bald head was covered in black, and the only recognizable feature was his eyes. “Why am I here?” thinks the man, briefly losing himself in memory.

Victor sat down on the far too large chair across from Greg Nugent, Vice President of Marketing for Tecate®. “Victor, without La Flamma Blanca, I am not sure what value you have. It has been a good run, and I like you, but I think it is over.”

“Wait, Senor Greg, I may have a reason to keep me on, but it must be off the record, and secret.”

The dark figure moved towards the power station, and stretched up to the open window upstairs. “Thank you for making this easy,” Rebota thinks, and heads over to the board. He mentally checks his notes, and presses a button.

The brewery comes alive on the East side, guards swarming around the brewery itself, while Rebota moves toward the headquarters near the center of the complex. “Let’s see if that means all the guards are there,” thinks Rebota as he prowls through the shadows quickly.

He slides under the door, literally, by making himself to only an inch thick. He then turns into an inconspicuous ball, and waits a few moments to make sure he is not heard. Rebota then rises, blending into the shadows, seeing all within 1000′ of the warehouse he has entered. He prowls quietly to a desk with a terminal, a bright computer screen still left on.

“Well, this makes the purchase of the hack a waste, but who knew that ahead of time?” He makes a simple search of “recipes”, not being an expert on computers, and lucks out- the detailed recipe for Guinness Stout is there, easy to copy. He knows that being without fingerprints he need not clean up, and returns the computer back to the screen he found it.

Left next to the terminal he leaves a digital business card with one side, in block letters, “REBOTA”, and the reverse side his signature video.

(Note- Video may be offensive to some- Introduces Victor’s secret identity, Rebota, which in English means bounce)

He goes out the way he came, whistling on his way down the street. Tecate® would soon have a new stout!
